What We Do
To fulfil the vision and aims of Kenilworth Youth for Christ we have various activities which are coordinated by us. We are also involved in other activities which are organised by the churches in the town.
S:cape – Thursday Lunchtimes – Kenilworth School
Meeting every Thursday for up to 30 young people. A group for year 7 and 8 students with a focus on games, activities and meeting friends in a safe place.
X:plore – Tuesday Lunchtimes – Kenilworth School
A group for young people who are Christians, attend church or who are interested in Christianity. A chance to learn more about what God has done and is still doing today.
One to One and Group Support – Various times – Kenilworth School
A support system for young people who are struggling with social or emotional difficulties.
Religious Education and PSHE Lessons – Various times – Kenilworth School
Get involved in R.E lessons about the Christian faith and in Personal, Social and Health Education lessons about ethical and societal topics
Manor Adventure Residential – October – With Year 8 at Kenilworth School
A week residential serving the school and getting to know staff and students better.
Year 6 Transition Work – Summer Term – Primary Schools, Kenilworth
Presentations to year 6 students encouraging them as they transition from primary to secondary school.
Open Space – November and March – Kenilworth School
Provide a reflection space for young people to reflect and remember using various activities.
Girl Talk – Friday Lunch – Kenilworth School
A drop in club for girls of all years to chat and play games together.
Sunday Services – Various Times – Kenilworth
Lead and speak at services across the town to promote the work of KYFC and bless the community.
Kenilworth Youth Weekend Away– February
A town wide weekend of encountering God, socialising and activities.
Holiday Clubs – Summer, February Half Term & October Half Term Holidays – Various Churches
Participate in and help run the Holiday Clubs across the town
‘The Barn’ is a free after school Youth Café which runs most Fridays after school at St Barnabas Church from 4 –6pm. It is providing a place for young people to go to after school with friends and ‘hang out’ and there are activities, as well as hot/cold drinks and snacks provided for free!
